'CornerTape' Product Endorsment

As a flooring contractor I have found that many first class floor-layers are inept when asked to seal edges of vinyl and the like with silicone.  When I saw Cornertape being demonstrated on wall tiles at the NEC Interbuild exhibition the potential use for floorcovering was immediately obvious to me and I took a roll to trial on an appropriate installation.

Over recent months Texfield Services has carried out several installations of the innovative ‘Clip-n-Fit-Tile’ a revolutionary loose laid, pre-grouted porcelain floor-tile that doesn’t need adhesive or grout.  The cut edges do however need to be finished to the same high standard with a matching sealant.  It was this product that I selected for trialling the Cornertape, the ideal opportunity came recently in a new head  office reception refurbishment involving some 60sm of Cliptiles.

My regular wood floor installers, with little training, undertake the fitting of the Cliptiles and one who is particularly proficient with the skeleton gun was asked to use the Cornertape on this installation; his reaction was genuinely enthusiastic saying the job, particularly on the long runs, was so much easier, quicker and the result was more even i.e. better than can be achieved generally by the ‘wet-finger’ method used by so many.  Texfield will henceforth be using Cornertape on all types of flooring.
