CornerTape is a Norwegian developed and patented product that guarantees a simple, accurate and much faster method of MASKING UP, prior to the application of all types of sealant. You can use cornertape with any brand of the following :

CornerTape is one of only two tape manufacturers in Scandinavia.
CornerTape is produced in lengths of 5 and 25 metres and in four different widths.

Production capacity is currently 2.5 million units per year. The head office is in Bergen, Norway, where administration, sales and product development is based.

The company now offers a complete solution for silicone joints.

The CornerTape system comprises:

• CornerTape and joint former – for perfect joints.
• Silicone remover – for quick and simple removal of old jointing
• Cleaning wipes – for simple and effective cleaning

The product is currently distributed in 16 European countries under various labels, but in the U.K the original brand has been kept.

The patent rights for the CornerTape® product are owned by the manufacturer's ' Tape Invent AS'.

Background

• A brief history: In 1999, a builder from Bergen, Frank Lian, invents CornerTape
• Provisional patent taken out in 2001
• Tape Invent AS established in 2004 by Frank Lian, Tor Andre Skeie and Odd Arne Larsen
• Patent finally approved in 2007
• Factory and production line established in Høyanger in 2007
• Distribution agreements signed in Norway, UK and the Netherlands in 2007
• Winner of the prestigious French Brico d' Or award 2008 for ‘Invention of the Year’
• Winner of the Gold Brico award for timesaving products that make existing jobs easier
• In 2008, the supplementary silicone remover and cleaning wipes are launched
• In summer 2008, sales, marketing and distribution agreements are put in place in a further 14 European countries
