Jan 2009 - We are now 'Prefered Suppliers' to the 'National Buying Group' The NBG as its known are a group of independent builders merchants which have got together to form a buying group. The group consists of over 70 companies with over 200 branch's nationwide. The members are spread all over the country which is great news for both you and us as over the next few months we'll be rolling out 'cornertape system' products to more retailers, making it much easier for you to get hold of when you need it. It will of course take time to get around everyone, so if you have a NBG member close to you (check out their website for a full list of members and locations) then download the cornertape system leaflet from here, print it and take it into them, that should ensure that the product rolls out even faster.

Here's the story, The tiling competition was held over the 3 days of the show but with only 1 hour allowed on the Tuesday morning for finishing off any snags and siliconing the corner joints. On the Monday afternoon two tilers from the competition came over to our stand to ask us about cornertape and to see a demo. We promptly obliged and explained about how the product works and showed them the results you get from the product. After seeing the demonstration they both agreed that they wanted to use the cornertape in the competition and explained to us that although they were experienced tillers they were never that confident when it came to using silicone and really wanted to be able to finish their tiled bays to the highest standard possible and obviously they only had one hour on Tuesday morning to get it right first time, part of the scoring was based on the standard of the silicone joints they could produce.. Neither guy wanted to leave it to the chance that they would have a bad day and get it wrong.. We were only to pleased to offer our help and suggested that they come back to see us on the Tuesday morning for 10 mins just to have a go themselves. They quite literally did about 2 metre’s of practice with the cornertape (which was perfect, I might add) and off they went to the competition bays for their last hour with their cornertape and also a packet of our preparation wipes. Just on the preparation wipes – its so important that the surfaces are completely clean and de-greased before applying your silicone (whether or not you use cornertape) , our wipes are specially designed to clean , degrease & disinfect the surfaces before the application of cornertape and silicone, they leave no residue on the surface at all which gives your silicone the best possible surface to adhere too. They both prepped the surfaces and then applied the cornertape, they even had to contend with masking up 2 X 3way corner’s within their tiled bays (something that we were not able to practice with them properly). They got on fine with every aspect of using the tape and were very pleased with the finish The rest as they say is history. One of the guys won the competition and the other came 3rd, what better endorsement could we have from 2 exceptionally talented tillers, and these guys came to us not the other way round, everyone from cornertape are so proud to have been associated with these guys and pleased that cornertape helped them finish their bays to the same high standard as the rest of their work.. P.S after the competition was over the 2nd placed tiler also visited our stand to take a look at cornertape............. Get some, Try some, you will be amazed how easy it is to use and the quality of finish will be perfect..

More good news we have just had our first endorsement from a specialist flooring company based down in london who will be using 'CornerTape' in their instatations from now on. The following is just a small excerpt. They said, ' My regular wood floor installers, with little training, undertake the fitting of the Cliptiles and one who is particularly proficient with the skeleton gun was asked to use the Cornertape on this installation; his reaction was genuinely enthusiastic saying the job, particularly on the long runs, was so much easier, quicker and the result was more even i.e. better than can be achieved generally by the ‘wet-finger’ method used by so many.
