What is CornerTape?

Applying silicone sealant neatly and evenly anywhere – especially around baths, shower enclosures, kitchen

units and worktops and edges of tiled and laminate floors has long been regarded by both professional tradesmen and amateur DIY’ers, as a time consuming and much dreaded task that gives very varied results and causes countless problems especially when relying on traditional masking tape or fingers. CornerTape is a TEMPLATE for use WITH silicone sealant, not a replacement and should not also be confused with bathroom type self adhesive plastic tape.

These are some of the key features of the new and unique product ‘CornerTape’.

· CornerTape was invented by a professional tiler and is aimed at both the trade and DIYers. This is not a fly by night gimmick like so many of the plastic tools on the market, which, to be effective still require you to have skill with a silicone gun. · CornerTape comprises a clear outer tape and 2 secondary silver masking tapes. The tape is applied and

aligned into the corner and then the clear outer tape is removed, leaving a perfectly parallel pair of secondary tapes with a gap into which you apply your silicone. You then smooth out the silicone with the plastic former that is provided in each pack and when used, all of the excess sealant is transferred onto the silver tape either side of the joint. The second silver masking tapes are then removed revealing a perfectly formed bead of sealant.

· CornerTape is a revolutionary, new and unique solution to the task of applying silicone sealant uniformly

and evenly anywhere that a neat joint is required – especially around baths and showers, kitchen sinks and

worktops, in tiled corners, and around tiled ceramic and laminate floors.

· CornerTape enables you mask both edges at once; and finish with a neat even bead of sealant every time. Tests have shown that using CornerTape more than halves the time taken to complete the task compared with traditional methods.

· CornerTape can be picked up and used by anyone to achieve a perfect silicone joint.No previous experience or skill in using a silicone gun is required.

· Using CornerTape creates less mess and reduces the amount of wasted silicone. When you remove

the silver foils the joint is complete and does not require any further cleaning of the tiles or worktops to

remove smudges, so saving time and reducing mess, unlike when using your finger.

· CornerTape is a folded tape shaped to fit into the corner of any joint to be sealed. Tiles, Baths,

Kitchen Worktops, shower cubicles in fact anywhere you would use silicone sealant.

· CornerTape is available in 4 widths – 2.5mm, 4mm, 6mm and 8mm and comes on 5m rolls for small DIY jobs, or 25m rolls for complete bathroom or kitchen refurbishment.

· CornerTape is supplied with a plastic former that fits exactly the size of tape you are using. So when you

remove the tape it does not pull the silicone out of the joint, which can occur when using masking tape.
